What Motivates You?

Some days are better than others, and some days I feel like crawling into a blanket fort and telling everyone I am no longer an adult and that I will be in my blanket fort taking a nap. Being an adult isn’t what I thought it was going to be. Not enough sleep, too many bills, not enough money, my teenagers that won’t listen to me, and being able to teach my kids what they need to know so that they can grow up to contribute to society. All of these things come to my mind when I think about my life as an adult. So why do I keep going? What motivates me?

My motivation comes from knowing that someone out there has it way harder than me, someone out there doesn’t have the support system that I do have. Someone else needs the support that I can give them. That’s what keeps me going, knowing that I have the ability to help someone.

Most people feel motivated when they make money so they can pay off bills, so their motivation is to go to work to make money, but if they don’t have work, then they don’t usually have much motivation.

“Most people spend a minimum of 8 hours a day into their work. And if you work because you want to make money to pay your bills, but you are not fulfilling your calling, you will never have the motivation in life.

You will feel motivated when you chase your dreams and are fulfilling your destiny, not when you chase money.” Shawn Lim said this on his website stunningmotivation.com.

My motivation comes from helping people and making their lives easier. Let’s all try to help each other out.
