The purpose of BYDC’s Cascading Leadership/Mentorship Program is for youth to teach and influence their peers by becoming mentors and leaders to learn how to most effectively reach success in that role. Our youth will progress from being youth members to youth leaders leading younger youth, to youth leaders leading peers, to youth leaders representing BYDC in the community. Our youth will help design youth programs and procedures within BYDC and model positive life skills throughout our community. Youth in these positions will be equipped with organizational and leadership skills to fulfill those responsibilities, strengthen their transcripts, college applications, and earn scholarships.
